Bandit x Tutu Pups: 9-10 Weeks

Tutu's little ones are growing and getting ready for their futures!

Now that we have decided which pup is staying with us, plans are being finalized for the rest of our precious little ones. It's a painful and exciting time, as always. We love having our puppies with us, and are sad to see them go, but it's wonderful to spread the love around, too. The delight on a new owner's face and knowledge that we have found a great family for our "baby", go a long way toward softening the blow.

Summer claimed the rug the pups keep taking

from the porch. Isn't she a pretty baby?!

A bit later, Minnie and Jasmine have the rug,

and a leaf and a water bottle. Who needs fancy toys?

Papa Bandit's people made their choice: BB will be with Kathy Fishburn, to be loved and spoiled by her and his Auntie Cootie, littermate to Bandit. We're so excited for him, and glad to know we'll be seeing him often at race meets! Auntie Cootie injured a leg recently, so BB will be with us a little longer while she recovers.

Minnie was the next pup to have her plans finalized, and she is already with her new family, wrapping them all around her tiny paws!

Pretty little Jazzy was ready to go inside

to cool off and have a snack and a nap.

Minnie is a very blessed little whippet! In her new home she has a great mom, a fun brother, and a grandma to spoil her. She also has two older whippet girlies to learn from and be best buddies with. The really special thing is that they are her aunts! One is a sister of Minnie's Great-Grandma Maggie (Mazie's mama), and the other is a sister of Great-Great-Grandma Joy, our very first whippet!

The four pups still with us got to experience our Labor Day Weekend event, called the "Bruiser". It's actually named after a dog! It's a three-day racing and lure coursing competition. Great Uncle Starman and mama Tutu are past Bruiser Cup winners, and this year Grandma Mazie was the winner of the special Veteran competition, for whippets over seven years old! Go Grandma!
