This has been a good week, spent watching puppies get bigger and fatter, enjoying every chance to cuddle them and smell their
sweet breath. Tutu has continued to be a wonderful mama, keeping them clean and well-fed. She licks them so thoroughly, we
gave up on keeping ribbons on the black pups.
Cute pups, milk comas. |

Tutu isn't sure she likes the other dogs sniffin' around, at first. |

The first one to start opening eyes was the boy, at 15 days. The "stacked" photos were actually taken at 17 days, by which
time all of them were peeking at the world. On their 18th day, we set up the puppy pen and moved them into the dog room. Soon,
they'll be toddling around and playing!

Tutu settled down quickly. We told her the others couldn't get in the puppy pen. |
|
And now the sort-of posed photos -

|
or maybe it was the camera flash that put her off! |
I love her color - sort of a golden-red-black. |

|
I wonder how she'll look grown up! |
Here's almost lookin' at you, kid! |

Pups 6 and 4 don't quite have their eyes all the way open, but they have a good start! |
