June 21, 2013, began abruptly for me when Tutu landed on my bed at 3:20 a.m., panting and very unhappy. We moved her crate
bottom "whelping box" into the living room so Dad could get some more sleep, and the two of us girls began our wait. Tutu
proceeded to pant and nest off and on for several hours. At least she was able to nap in the "off" times; I wish I could have!
The other dogs split the day between the yard and their crates, no couch time. Sorry, guys!

She progressed to more productive contractions and then on to the pushing stage a little after 12:30 PM. The first
puppy was the largest, and even though he came nose first (the easiest presentation to deliver) it took quite a while to work
him out. Just after 3 PM, I saw something pink - a tiny puppy tongue! A cute little snout soon followed, and after more pushing
and digging of bedding, the first pup finally arrived! Yay!
